Psychic vs. Medium: What’s the Difference?
One of the most common questions people ask is the difference between a psychic and a medium and the information they deliver during a reading? While both use intuitive abilities, their focus is different. Psychic messages are different than psychic medium messages.
A psychic accesses information about a person’s life, emotions, patterns, and potential paths forward, including and not limited to: finances, career, friendships, love life (romance), community, and travel. A medium specifically communicates with spirits, including loved ones and pets who have passed, to bring through messages and validation that may include the loved one’s last days here on Earth, what their interests and/or work career were here on the Earth plane. How they spend their time in the spirit world and who they spend their time with in the spirit world.
Some practitioners, including Eleni Dedes, work as both a psychic and a medium, allowing sessions to unfold based on what is most appropriate for the client’s needs. Clients make specific requests. Some ask for mediumship; some ask for psychic information and some ask for both.
Understanding this distinction helps individuals choose the right type of reading—whether they are seeking intuitive guidance, spiritual clarity, or connection with the spirit world. Not all psychics are mediums. And with any reading arrive with an open heart and an open mind.
